Application process for Spring 2025 

To secure a place on an NPQ you must complete applications with both the South Yorkshire Teaching Hub and the DfE.

To begin the application process, please complete our expression of interest form below. By completing an expression of interest now, we can support your registration and application process and you can maximise your chance of securing a funded place on our NPQ programmes.

Step 1

1. Complete our expression of interest form.
2. Check your funding eligibility by visiting the DfE website. 
3. Submit an application form through the DfE portal when applications open on 10 February (date subject to change).                 - Select one of our lead providers, Teach First or Best Practice Network on the form.                                                                    - Choose South Yorkshire Teaching Hub as your delivery partner.     
4. Once your application is reviewed, we will inform you of the outcome. Please note that initial offers will be conditional. To receive a confirmed offer, you must complete Step 2.                                               

Step 2 

1. Once applications open in February, we will send you our application pack containing:                                                                - Our application form                                                                                                                                                                                  - Additional important information
2. Please ensure to read all the information in the application pack.
3. Discuss your intention to undertake an NPQ with your line manager to secure their support.
4. Complete and submit our application form supplied in our application pack.
5. We will then provide final confirmation of the outcome of your application.
