For April 2025, the funding for NPQs will continue to prioritise teachers and leaders working in the most challenging schools or educational settings, particularly those serving more disadvantaged communities.

Here are the details of the April 2025 funding:

• The DfE have capped the number of funded places, meaning there is a limited number available for this cohort. 
• All state schools will be eligible for fully funded places on the:
  - NPQ Headship (NPQH)
  - NPQ for SENCOs (NPQ SENCO)
  - NPQ in Leading Primary Maths (NPQLPM) 
  - Early Headship Coaching Offer (EHCO) 
• For all other NPQs, schools with the highest 50% of pupil premium pupils will be eligible for fully funded places, as well as early years and 16 to 19 educational settings identified as having high disadvantage.

Schools that are not in this 50% group will be able to access other NPQs, but these will need to be self-funded by either yourself or your school.
